Therapy for high-functioning women navigating the invisible cost of motherhood
Tara Harkins, LCSW, PMH-C
You’re managing a lot—career, family, expectations—and from the outside, it looks like you’re doing well.
But internally, something feels off: depleted, stretched thin, or no longer fully yourself.
You may recognize yourself here
You used to feel clear, driven, and capable—and now everything feels heavier
You’re carrying more than your partner emotionally or logistically
You feel guilt, resentment, or pressure you can’t fully explain
You miss parts of who you were before motherhood
You don’t need to keep pushing through this alone.
Meet Tara.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in management consulting and capital markets—high-pressure environments where expectations were constant and performance mattered. I understand what it means to be capable, driven—and quietly overwhelmed.
I now specialize in working with women navigating the emotional and identity shifts that come with motherhood, especially when life no longer feels aligned.
My approach is direct, thoughtful, and grounded in both clinical expertise and real-world experience.
Therapy that fits into your life
Sessions are held virtually, allowing you to access support without the added stress of commuting, scheduling logistics, or time away from your responsibilities.
Many of my clients find that meeting from home creates a more flexible and sustainable way to engage in meaningful work.
